Hey, don’t swing at me. I’m just the messenger.
I was sitting in meditation and felt this message strongly for myself. However, because I know I’m no ‘one-woman island’, I felt led to share in hopes it helps someone else.
The message came in a vision of me sitting with my Ancestors and one swatted my hand away from what they were doing in the same way my elder would pop my hand for going in their pots before dinner was ready.
Watched pots never boil. Hovering over something, constantly checking it, worrying over it, none of this is helpful. In fact, it opens the door for doubt and fear.
Our manifestations do not need nor require micromanaging. You call it forth and claim it so, then we align to it. We’re already in route. We don’t have to continuously announce where we’re going as the journey unfolds. Your Ancestors are well aware, they were with you then just like they’re here for you now.
For example. Let’s say I’m manifesting $100 and I do whatever ritual/cleansing/workings to make it so. If we end those rituals (and you should) by affirming the work is already done, but we continuously monitor the process without placing our focus on aligning with the manifestation, it’s like running on a treadmill expecting that revolving belt to take you where you desire to be.
The Ancestors and your Spirit team don’t need you walking around with your clipboard to hover over what’s being done. Trust in your team to reveal to you what’s needed and move accordingly.
Remember in Soul Food where Big Mama was cooking Sunday dinner and the family helped? Big Mama didn’t need you hovering over what she was preparing for her family. She needed the family to do their parts while she did hers so when she became an Ancestor, they could continue on their own.
Big Mama has been cooking since before they were born. And like the Ancestors, they’ve been clearing roads and kicking folks ass long before you were ever a thought. They don’t need you hovering. They need you to do your part.
What’s your part?
- Focus on your mindfulness and awareness so when your Ancestors need you to move a certain way, you receive the direction with clarity and move accordingly.
- Live you life! Do things that bring you joy and make you happy.
- Always show gratitude at every phase of your journey. Give offerings, visit your elders, serve the community.
- Observe. You’re not monitoring the work; however, you are being mindful of the shifts and changes that happen along the way. There’s lessons in that as much as it is receiving what you manifested.
I’ll leave you with this:
If you are someone who has trouble trusting in your workings and what you manifest, we first have to unpack reasons why we feel this way about ourselves. Take some time to process (write, journal, speak it, etc.) our belief systems around trust, control, and faith.
- When was the first time you felt you couldn’t trust yourself? If you can’t recall the first time, explore your earliest memory or the first thought that comes to mind and go from there.
- Explore your belief systems around control. Do you feel you may be a bit of a control freak? Or on the opposite end, do you allow everyone else to make decisions for you instead of following your intuition? If so, explore reasons why and any parallels you feel bleed into your spiritual practices.
- What does faith mean to you? Explore times where you walked out on faith as well as times when you neglected faith for the tangible.
You can do all the ritual and workings your heart desires. But if you don’t have faith in you and your Spiritual team to follow through, it becomes more difficult for everyone involved to do their part. This is the year we begin trusting ourselves to build, and build on better foundations. Hope this helps. You got this!
