If you’re someone who feels stuck at a crossroads between going your own way and doing what’s been expected of you, today’s message from Spirit may be for you. Take what resonates, leave the rest.

I typically don’t read reversals but this reading calls for it.
This reading is for the person who has gone most of their lives feeling they were meant for something much different than what they’re upbringing tried preparing them for. “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” is the example Spirit gives me here. Vy sends Will to Bel-Air in hopes that he can be ’straightened out’, but we see throughout the episodes Will also teaches them a few life lessons of his own.
It’s uncomfortable. You feel misunderstood. Invisible, even. On one hand, you don’t want to disappoint your family. In their eyes, they mean well. Wealth, connections, and resources became this ‘holy trinity’ and the driving force behind how you were raised/treated. Every life lesson boiled down to how much you can attain to show for it.
On the other, your soul is restless trying to be everything everyone else expects you to be. Your soul craves expansion. To take this leap of faith to see just how much there is to life on your own terms versus what’s been groomed into you. What this leaves you with is a restless mind and a constant battle between becoming what’s expected of you versus living on your own terms.
This mind-f*ck is also in your body. The tension in your neck/shoulders keeps them up by your ears. Maybe there’s some back pain and headaches along the way. It’s the type of ache and restlessness that sleep alone won’t fix.
You’ve had these intuitive hits over the years about this very situation and the stalemate approach is far from sustainable. Every day you straddle the fence of your life hoping that indecision will keep everyone happy, but Spirit is asking, what is it costing you?
Every time you settle for the sake of keeping peace, you wear it. You consume it. Is someone else’s hurt feelings worth you losing the fullness life has to offer you?
It’s human to want those you looked up to, to celebrate you when you excel doing your life’s work. But that must start with you. This is the season to learn to be ok with disappointing people if that means choosing yourself. Trust that the more you walk in your authenticity, you attract folks who’ll support you in it. That type of pouring into hits on a soul level, far more impactful than when you feel you always have to ask for it.
This is where Spirit is asking you to make a decision. You were born with wings to soar, why clip them to keep those around you comfortable who never used their own?
You never know who’s watching and rooting for you, so they also feel compelled to live on their own terms. You get a choice here that maybe your elders or Ancestors never had. They learn from us just as we learn from them. Honor them by paving your own and remembering them along the way. Hope this helps.
With love,
